AL'S TAVERN
Al’s Tavern, located in Wallingford, is one of the last authentic dive bars left in Seattle. Al’s was established in 1940 and, for better-or-worse, hasn’t changed much since then.
Drinking there is a lot like putting on Grandpa’s sweater; it smells bad, but feels too darn good to take off. It’s this nostalgic appeal that makes Al’s so hard to resist.
BRAND STRATEGY
My goal with this project is to create an identity 'refresh' that will help steadily increase the revenue of Al’s Tavern without jeodpordizing the history, aesthetic and integrity of a 75 year old dive bar trying to survive in a burgeoning high-tech city.
